| ISP Client Configuration and Requirements |
In order to start outsourcing and offer newsgroup access to your subscribers, you will need to:
1. Add one or more records to your DNS servers to direct your users to our servers
2. Provide all technical support to your customers
3. Deal quickly and effectively with any Usenet abuse issues generated through your account
4. Possess one or more IP address blocks that are assigned exclusively to your company or organization We verify this through ARIN and cannot allow access by IP range if the IP addresses are owned by or accessible to a third party. |
| Information Needed |
You would need to provide us with your IP net blocks (Example: 199.165.217.XXX). If you have more than one net block, your ports will be dynamically load-shared among them. |
| Free Trial Period |
A free three-week trial period applies to all corporate accounts. During these three weeks, we will work on finding a level you are satisfied with and providing you with a 5-port access to our server fleet. If, after the trial, you decide to continue outsourcing with us, you will need to sign a contract. Learn more about our VIP Trial. |
| Activation |
ISP account setup is completed during business days, within 24 to 48 hours from the time we receive all necessary information. A $50 non-refundable fee applies to all new accounts and must be paid upon signing the outsourcing contract. We must receive the first payment before we can activate your account. |
| Fees |
First-time customers will be charged a $50 one-time setup fee upon activation of their account (after the first three weeks have passed). This fee is non-refundable. |
| Ports |
A 5-port minimum applies per account (e.g. you can have two 64Kb ports and three 128Kb ports in your account, depending on specific needs). Our free trial accounts feature a total of 5 ports.
If you are unsure how many ports to get, start with a number of ports equal to approximately 10% of your entire customer base. For example, if you have 250 clients and purchase 25 ports, you could have 25 simultaneous users connected to our server through your account. |
| Discounts |
Volume discounts are available for purchases of over 50 ports. Discounts are also available when advance payment is made on your account (for three, six, or twelve months). Please contact us for more information. |
| Flexibility and Customizations |
As a PROnews corporate client, your account can have more than one type of port. In fact, we encourage mixing and matching ports to get the closest fit for your business. For example, you can have five 256Kb ports and two 128Kb ports, and also get additional ports at any time without extending your contract.
We can also create customized plans and adjust pricing to help you achieve your outsourcing goals.

| Outsourcing Contract |
Please take time to review our ISP Outsourcing Contract as you will need to agree to its terms when you join PROnews. We offer a no-risk, no-obligation free trial to all future members. You are not required to commit to a contract with PROnews or make any payments during or after your trial period. After the first three weeks; however, you will need to make a payment to continue outsourcing. In order to activate your outsourcing account, payment is required for at least one month ahead. First month's payment must be made by credit card. Our corporate contracts require a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month commitment. |
| Payment |
Payment must be made within three days of your billing date. Late fees will apply if payment is not received or your credit card is declined. You can find your account billing date in the VIP Lounge. When signing up for a PROnews account you can specify your preferred billing frequency. Discounts apply if you pay for three, six, or twelve months in advance. |
