1. What are the PROnews ISP server addresses?
The server address you will use depends on the outsourcing plan you have signed up for. Please log in the VIP Lounge and click on “Servers” to find out your server address. |
2. What is a port?
A port is a synonym for a server connection. The number of ports available to you must approximate the number of users you will have simultaneously connected to our servers through you. |
3. Can I try your services for free?
Yes, we have a free trial available to new customers. We allow you to try our services at no charge for three weeks and decide if ISP outsourcing is right for you. No credit card information is required to get a free trial. |

4. Can I join the Affiliate Program if I am not a PROnews customer?
Yes, you can. We have two types of commission earning opportunities for affiliates: a PROnews Member program, and an Affiliate Only program. Both programs allow affiliates to earn commission for every referred customer. The only difference between the two is that with the Member program, ISPs can refer individual subscribers, as well as other Internet Service Providers to PROnews.com. With the Affiliate Only Program, you can only refer corporate customers (ISPs) to PROnews.com. Click here for more information on both programs.

5. Is there a minimum number of ports I need to maintain as a PROnews VIP?
PROnews members are required to have at least five ports in order to maintain their account active. However, they can be ports of different speed levels. For example, to satisfy this requirement you may have one 128Kb port, two 64Kb ports, and two 512Kb ports, depending on your customer base and individual needs. |
6. What is the minimum time commitment for PROnews VIPs?
A PROnews outsourcing account requires a minimum commitment of three months. However, you have three weeks to try our services and decide if you want to benefit from outsourcing on a long-term basis. Our contracts are for three, six, or twelve months. We also have price breaks for paying your balance early. |
7. What does a PROnews VIP mean and what are the benefits of being one?
We consider our customers Very Important Persons. All PROnews member receive our VIP treatment, support, and benefits. Joining PROnews guarantees you will feel like a VIP. |
8. Do I have to sign up after my free trial expires?
You are under no obligation to continue your membership with us past your trial period, if you do not think that you will benefit from our services. |
9. Do you provide access to all existing Usenet newsgroups?
PROnews offers access to virtually all existing newsgroups for a total of more than 130,000. Your users will be sure to find at least a few groups that interest them. |
10. Can I add extra ports to my account, once I commit to a certain account level?
PROnews gives you the option of purchasing additional ports at any time after your account has been created. You may do so by logging into the VIP Lounge and clicking the Add Ports link. There is no minimum on the number of ports you can add. |
