I heard of this new p2p network that let people share information, opinions, and even advertise to peers on the network. I had downloaded the client software Herald, I must say its verrrry impressive! For you people who wants to check it out, the p2p network is call Global Herald Network which was just launched on 6/20/08.

I’d rather use Google Groups for Newsgroups. They’ve saved all the groups and their posts so there’s a LOT of info. I think OE (or your protocol) will only show a few month’s worth of posts.

Nice introduction to usenet. However I would not recommend OE for binaries it cannot decode Yenc. OE for text is great.
